PRAYER MINISTRY

PRAYER MINISTRY - Our prayer group meets weekly on Wednesday mornings from 9 to 10 a.m. in room 103. Please join this group of prayer warriors as they pray for our church family, our community, and our world.  If you would like to receive the CHAC prayer list by e-mail,  call or email the church office (641-792-1620/office@communityheights.org).

DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES

Discipleship classes will start Sunday, Sept. 13, 9:00a.m.:

*The Forgotten Purpose of Prayer, Syd McCrorey, Rooms 105/106-Praying to deepen our relationship with our Heavenly Father first..BEFORE we come to Him asking for His blessing and help with our problems.  Enjoy being with our Father more than we enjoy the things we want from Him.

*The Evidence for Yahweh, Ez Holiday, Rooms 101/102-The objective for this class is to demonstrate evidence for Christianity/Yahweh and compare it to other Elohim/other religions/principalities.  This will strengthen the believer's faith, give them tools to use whilst evangelizing, and also give a reasonable case for the atheistic/skeptic leaning individual to convert.

 

 

 

MEN'S BIBLE STUDIES

*EPHESIANS-Thursday mornings, 5:30a.m., in the Coffee Shop with Jason Lauterbach.

MEN'S PRAYER & GAME NIGHT

TUESDAY, September 8, 7-10P.M.-Men meet at church to pray, play games and share snacks.  All men are welcome.

                                                                                                 

 

 

DADS & KIDS' CAMPOUT

Friday night, September 25, 6p.m. to Saturday morning, September 26, 10a.m.  on the East side of the Church.  Bring a tent, your kids, and prepare to have fun and fellowship.  Contact Darin Hutchinson for more information.  Sign up in the church lobby.

 

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDIES

Titus, Displaying the Gospel of Grace, Tuesdays, 9-11a.m. in Rooms 103/104 w/Anna McNeel, starts 9/15.  Child care is provided for the morning study.  The evening study of Titus is Thursdays, 6:30-8:30p.m., in Rooms 103/104 w/ Kristi Rhoads, starting 9/10.  Come out for a good time of learning  and fellowship.  The study book is by Courtney Doctor and Hunter Beless.

ALLIANCE WOMEN

Thursday, September 10, 10:00a.m., rooms 101/102.  All ladies of the church are invited to come learn about and pray for our missionaries.  

WIDOWS' TEA

Mid-America District Ladies Retreat

September 18-20, 2026, Carol Joy Holling Retreat Center, Ashland, NE.   Keynote Speaker is Cindy Pals, MD, from Orange City, IA.  "We will look at the life of David and other people in his story to see what their actions tell us about where they are living emotionally and spiritually.  Saturday morning speaker is "M"-a veteran international Worker.  She will share about her unique journey and the good works God prepared in advance for her todo as God's masterpiece.  Additional retreat activities include:  Breakout Sessions; Dynamic Worship; Free Time with ziplines, paddleboats, crafts; Offering for National Projects; Mercy Market Fair Trade Shopping.  Register on the website by clicking the button below by Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Look for the Card Ministry display in the Welcome Center.  If you need a card, you can take a card.  You can order special cards as well.  Write on the notepad what you'd like and put it in the little silver box.  Thanks, ladies!

THANK YOU FOR FILLING THE BIG SOUP CANS! - They could use personal care items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, razors, toilet paper, etc. They could also use some can openers as they have some homeless people who could use these things.  Thank you for your generosity!

OR, you can drop items off at Grace Church, 1620 N. 11th Ave. E. in Newton on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to noon and Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed from noon to 1 p.m.)  Thanks to our Garden Team who's been harvesting in the extreme heat this summer to provide fresh produce!
