PRAYER MINISTRY

PRAYER MINISTRY - Our prayer group meets weekly on Wednesday mornings from 9 to 10 a.m. in room 103. MINISTRY FAIR

Sunday, August 23-Go around to each table of ministry.  Each will have an explanation of who they serve and what they do AND a different candy to try.  You can also sign up for ministries that fit your skill set or try something new.  There will also be a hotdog, chips, and cookie lunch.  If you like to bake, please sign up in the lobby on the markerboard to bring a dozen or two or three dozen cookies that Sunday.  THANK YOU!!

WORKOUT & WORSHIP

Mondays, 6:30-7:15p.m., in the Gathering Place w/ Hannah Bartlett.  All abilities and ages welcome.  Kids under 12 must have an adult/guardian present.  Bring a yoga mat or towel and a water bottle.  

 

Mid-America District Ladies Retreat

September 18-20, 2026, Carol Joy Holling Retreat Center, Ashland, NE.   Keynote Speaker is Candy Pals, MD, from Orange City, IA.  "We will look at the life of David and other people in his story to see what their actions tell us about where they are living emotionally and spiritually.  Saturday morning speaker is "M"-a veteran international Worker.  She will share about her unique journey and the good works God prepared in advance for her todo as God's masterpiece.  Additional retreat activities include:  Breakout Sessions; Dynamic Worship; Free Time with Ziplines, Paddleboats, Crafts; Offering for National Projects; Mercy Market Fair Trade Shopping.  Register on the website by clicking the button below.

GRACE CHURCH FOOD PANTRY

THANK YOU FOR FILLING THE BIG SOUP CANS! - They could use personal care items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, razors, toilet paper, etc. They could also use some can openers as they have some homeless people who could use these things.  Thank you for your generosity!

Please place your donations in the giant "soup cans" in the foyer and we’ll do the rest. OR, you can drop items off at Grace Church, 1620 N. 11th Ave. E. in Newton on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to noon and Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed from noon to 1 p.m.)  Thanks to our Garden Committee who's been harvesting in the extreme heat this summer to provide fresh produce!
