WHAT'S YOUR NEXT STEP?

Knowing Jesus

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Whether you're new to the faith or you just haven't been to church in a really long time, your Next Step is taking that FIRST step toward knowing Jesus.

Get Connected

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25

Circles are better than rows and living and serving in community with other believers is better than going it alone. Small groups are how we stay connected in relationships and grow spiritually with other people. Essentially, we decide to “do life” with others.

Small groups meet in homes throughout the community, as well as right at the church facility on Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings. Some small groups rotate around to the homes of the small group members. They eat together, pray together, study the Bible together, do service projects together, and sometimes just have fun together. When the chips are down in life, small group members are there for one another and support each other.

If your next step is to start a small group, host a small group, or join a small group – contact us and we will help you take that step!

How Can I Serve?

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." I Peter 4:10

Jesus said “I did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give my life as a ransom for many.” To serve is to be like Jesus!

Package meals for hungry families, brew a cuppa Joe in the Coffee Shop, rock a baby to sleep in the nursery, play dodgeball with middle school kids, shake a hand, plant a garden - you have a gift to share and there's a place for you to share it at Community Heights. Serving helps us experience God and our church family more deeply than if we just attended.

Be Generous

Give generously to what you believe in!

There are no dues or fees at Community Heights, but only the willing and generous giving of God’s people to the ministry of the Gospel in Newton and beyond. You can give during the worship services on Sunday mornings, or you can give online at the link below. Donations may be made to:

  • The General Fund
  • The Benevolent Fund
  • The GREAT COMMISSION Fund (world missions)

You can make a one-time gift, or you can set up a recurring gift to contribute regularly. Your gifts are like seeds planted in the ground that will return a great harvest of reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus!

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 9:

6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”

8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 9 As the Scriptures say,

“They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”

10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.
